Born in New York City and raised in Istanbul, Emir Arslan grew up leading four brothers through backyard basketball games and Fenerbahce soccer matches. His passion for adventure, sparked by culinary quests across Turkey and Europe with his father, taught him to embrace and thrive in the unfamiliar—skills he brings to the fast-paced world of finance.

During the pandemic, Emir’s fascination with psychology and growth led him to explore the financial markets. At 18, he opened a brokerage account, funding his college education, at Tulane University, through disciplined market strategies. His professional journey spans roles at Tulane’s Burkenroad Reports, Meksa Investment Group, Citi Group, and Kennedy Capital.

At Longwave Financial, Emir combines analytical rigor with a global perspective to assist our advisors in helping clients succeed. The unique geography of Istanbul, situated on two continents, echoes his own journey, one that encourages viewing the world through a more diverse lens. Outside of work, he’s playing soccer, tracking down authentic Turkish food in NYC, or exploring new cities (without Google maps).
